Once a Steeler, Always a Steeler
(2010 Training Camp Blog)
It was a Steelers reunion in Canton Ohio. With the induction of Dick LeBeau and former Steelers Offensive line coach Russ Grimm, not only were the Pittsburgh Steelers there in full attendance, but several ex-Steelers came to pay their respects to the enshrinees.
Ex-Steelers and current Cardinals Joey Porter, Clark Haggans and Alan Faneca paid $20,000 a piece to rent-a-ride via a private plane to get to Canton. The three-some were seen at the post induction parties wearing a Cardinals shirt, but sporting a Terrible Towel from their pockets.
Former Steelers Offensive Coordinator and Cardinals Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt was in attendance. Also former Steelers video tech/assistant coaches Rob Brackel, Mike Miller, Matt Raich and Kevin Spencer came to enjoy what had to be the crowning achievement of Dick LeBeau and Russ Grimm.
Ya gott’a love it folks when you see such respect paid to two men that have enriched the lives of so many.
It really is true, “Once a Steeler, always a Steeler.”
