Wolf

What a strange season this was.

The only common denominator was you & Tunch's solid analysis.

Thanks again for keeping the Steeler nation informed, amused & passionate.

Wolf, your great memory for historical details could enlighten and reform many of the NFL's inconsistent rules and practices.

I agree completely with your comments, I played ball in college and coach today. The comment that this is a violent sport played by men prone to violent behavior is a point I try to make with my players. My question is this. Have Suh's actions in making himself and his teams image "rougher" helped or hurt the Lions. I honestly dont think he cares if his image is hurt, I just hate to see it spiral out of control with fines and suspensions. Or is it just part of the manufacturing of an "edge" for Detroit?

I think the way he did it was unprofessional and arrogant, particularly to Hines Ward. Let's face it- he and Arians have not coached this team well. All the problems in the weeks before "taking action" and the humiliation of the first Ravens game. That is not good coaching. Either that or they sure pulled a fast one on the fans. Sort of a let's experiment awhile and see what happens. Isn't that for the practice field?

I know.....you are a Tomlin disciple. I bet after the Steelers do not get into the playoffs or by some miracle they do and lose the SB, Tomlin will be looking.

As for defending him about the past playoffs and Super bowls, Tomlin started with a Cowher team. That has lasted until last year and this year, it's obvious he he still doesn't know how to put a team together. Except for blaming the players.

And Arians? Don't get me started.

Happy Thanksgiving Wolf. I enjoy your daily radio show and your side line comments on game day. Home games I take my ears and listen to the game and watch at the same time at Heinz Field. Away games (at 76 years old too old to travel) we turn the sound down on the TV and listen to the radio. Good luck and God Bless You and your family, Claudia

I'm sure a rested and healthy Hines down the stretch and into the post-season will be a great asset. Don't count him out yet.
