The Dress rehearsal in Denver kicks off tonight and I’m looking specifically how three guys will meet the challenge tonight.
Maurkice Pouncey; first time he’s got a pro-bowl nose tackle perched on his noggin. Jamal Williams is a massive man. Thus far, Maurkice has really only played against an even front. Though he’s practiced against it (an uneven front and a 3-4 and a pro bowl NT in Casey Hampton), it’s never the same when it’s a real game.
Isaac Redman; special teams are his ticket to the final 53. He’s shown power in short yardage, an ability to run on first and second down. He’s caught the ball well coming out of the backfield, and he’s blocked well. Now, can he get out there on the special forces and be a factor?
Keenan Lewis not only has the opportunity to surpass Will Gay, but Bryant McFadden. Tonight Keenan takes center stage in the starting line-up for B-Mac and we get a chance to see how he handles those short, quick routes. Last night in Denver, on my way to a little grubbing session i spied Keenan chowing at the Cheesecake Factory. I hope he’s “Cheesin” (smiling) after tonight’s game.
See you on the sidelines!
